How the pictures are chosen

Each picture here may be reused freely, under a Creative Commons licence or as a public-domain dedication, and each came from Wikimedia Commons, some of them first published on Flickr. Two are press photographs taken at Zandvoort in May 1960 by Harry Pot for the Dutch agency Anefo. Most of the licences ask for a credit, so every picture carries one wherever it appears, and the list below brings them together, with the videos after them.

Only one picture shows a TR3 in its own years, the TR3A in one of the Zandvoort photographs. Every picture appears as its source published it, though a frame may crop it; a few photographers blanked or blurred the number plates (license plates) in their own files. Some pages open on a stand-in, labelled "Stand-in" on the picture and at the start of its caption, which says what it shows and that it is not the subject; a stand-in further down a page says so in its caption.source 1
